At Victoria Music Ltd., we are passionate about arts and community. We offer workshops in Music and Drama with a dedicated team of volunteers all geared up to help those people access their dream. You don't need any experience and we will find the talent within you and help you to make the most of it.

What's more is that you have the added feel good factor of knowing that your performances raise the much needed funds to help people within our community, be it in wellbeing sessions, young people and many more community projects that exist because of VML.

What we do...

All Age Drama

At VML we are passionate about keeping the classic dramas alive. We have built a solid reputation for quality drama at affordable audience prices. We believe strongly that everyone has the right to quality theatre irrespective of means or disadvantage.

Musical Theatre

Whether it be at the front of the stage or behind the scenes, there is something for everyone to be involved in with VML. We rehearse and perform regular musical showcases, theatre productions and concerts for the local community. Come along and see.

Radio Presenting

VML run their own weekly radio show on local community radio and are always looking out for guest presenters who want to learn the art of broadcasting. We will train you to use the radio desk. You don't need experience, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Is VML right for me??

VML is a registered charity and exists to ensure that access to all of the arts is affordable and we welcome all comers, experienced, inexperienced, the diverse and those who don't feel that they fit in to other performing arts groups. We are here to help you to develop. There's a warm welcome waiting for you at VML!

What does it cost to become involved?

As a registered charity we do not charge a membership fee so there is no annual membership charge. All participants pay a £5 per week contribution to the aims of the charity in the community (payable monthly by standing order).

For that you can do as much or as little as you want, music, drama, radio, volunteering at 'Friends' sessions with crafting or coming along to our weekly 'Big Sings' if performing is not for you. If you want you can do them all for your £5.

Do you write and produce new work?

We have recently begun exploring writing and producing new works for the stage and for our You Tube channel. If you are a budding play write or screen writer then we can provide the actors to bring your work to life. There are a number of experienced directors at VML.

"I joined VML in September 2002 and what a hidden treasure I’d found. Since joining I have developed new skills, and it has given me a lot of new confidence at my old age of 64, not only to perform on stage but to do good voluntary work for the community.

It gives you a feeling of wellbeing being a part of such a unique charity. I have met some lovely genuine people whom I now call friends, who have supported me with no judgement and it really is like one big happy family and Rob, the Charity Leader looks after us all and gives us a chance to shine.
